Indoor WiFi6E connectivity

As part of the SLICES program, new access points (APs) providing WiFi 6E connectivity have been installed in the Torres Quevedo building at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. This state-of-the-art technology offers faster speeds, reduced latency, and improved capacity, significantly enhancing the wireless experience for students, faculty, and staff. Enjoy a more reliable and efficient connection while working, studying, or collaborating within the building.

The selected access points are Ruckus R760, which operate using Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, meaning that both power and data are transmitted through a single Ethernet cable. These APs provide seamless connectivity across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, taking full advantage of WiFi 6E’s expanded spectrum.

There are a total of 4 Ruckus R760 APs distributed throughout the first floor of the Torres Quevedo building, following the layout below:
